Vancouver Convention Centre

Home of the 2010 Olympic Games media and broadcast centres, the VCEC having been built over land and water presented some unique waterproofing challenges.

Electrical pull, duct drainage, trapping and Telus sump pits were subject to salt water flooding due to the rising and falling tides of this Vancouver waterfront project.

The Re-Systems Group of Canada was engaged by PCL Constructors Westcoast to solve this unique waterproofing issue.

An application of The Re-Systems Group “blind side” injection of Turbo Seal U and concrete repair techniques proved to be the solution for these flooded pits.
